Care Homes Land
There are two distinctly different types of site required, but both must be in suitable residential locations with an area of not less than 0.6 acre:
- Within 500m of a shop and bus stop. Ideally within easy walking distance of a large or small shopping centre and leisure facilities.
- With easy pedestrian or public transport access for employees and visitors. Ideally visible to a moderate volume of passing traffic, but distant from sources of excessive noise.
Good sites may currently be an existing care home, hotel / pub, garden nursery, petrol station / garage, residential or commercial property.
Care home opportunities can often generate higher land values than other uses whilst also delivering an obvious community benefit.
